Digital Learning

Screen Australia Digital Learning (SADL) creates free content-rich video online educational resources suitable for Australian primary and secondary education.

Screen Australia Digital Learning is the gateway to online educational resources on the Screen Australia website. This portal provides access to over 15 websites as well as downloadable teachers notes, TV schedules for educational off-air copying, online ordering of programs and the Digital Resource Finder.

The Resource Finder features free for education video clips from Screen Australia's remarkable library- one of the nation's largest and most historically significant collections. Clips are matched with print-friendly two-page resource sheets that include background information, engaging student research and classroom activities all written by leading educators and specialist curriculum writers.

SADL resources are drawn from Screen Australia's Library and programs produced under the National Interest Program (NIP).

Opportunities for Producers

All SADL projects are developed and produced under the supervision of the Executive Producer, Education.

SADL projects are developed in consultation with education specialists and cover a wide range of curriculum areas.

SADL may license from independent producers on a non-exclusive basis educationally relevant video for inclusion on the Digital Resource Finder.

Collaborative Partnerships

SADL collaborates with other partner institutions developing digital resources for educational purposes. Recent partnership collaborations have been with The Le@rning Federation, National Archives of Australia, National Library of Australia, National Museum of Australia and the Australian Children's Television Foundation.
